Corners Of My Home

I have not been schooled in interior design but I do know what I like and I have always had a pretty good eye for what looks good. I remember as a kid helping my Mom rearrange the living room furniture and moving pictures on walls to give our house a "fresh" look every once in a while. It was fun and I loved it!
We have been remodeling our house for close to 3 years now... for awhile my living room looked like this...

Lovely right? Thankfully it no longer resembles this!! We still have a ways to go and our living room and kitchen still need their new floors...
It has been very frustrating these last few months not being able to have that creative outlet that I love of decorating. So this past week, despite the mess and the countless things I have left to paint and the floor and trim that still need to be done... I hung these

Our family photo and quote wall. I love the way it turned out!

Adventures...

I think I'm going to do posts titled ADVENTURES once a week due to that fact that life IS an adventure no?(that was DEEP, I know)No really, just our little adventures around our little farm :)
One of my daily adventures this Summer has been to the clothes line. No, serously! Its an ordeal to be sure. Let me point out here, that when Hubby put the clothes line up he refused to put the darn thing where I wanted it.. So I have to hike half a mile to it(I'm kidding, a little. I'm totally over it...can't you tell?)ANYWHOO... On with my story...
clean clothes!!

If your looking for a way to save money on your electric bill, hang your clothes on the line! Seriously, Nothing uses electricity like a clothes dryer. Another added bonus is If your husband puts said clothes line, like, a LONG ways from your house than you will also LOSE weight hiking to it... So be sure and request that feature to whoever is putting your clothes line up!
What makes my trips to the clothes line fun, are these little guys. They spot me and come running.

They either sit ON my feet or beside me while I get the clothes off the line
Notice Milo chewing on my shoe...

And then Dunkel decides to maul Milo...Yes, it always happens in that order!

Then I head back to the house (remember I'm like half a mile away. WOW, I really can't let this go, can I?)and they scamper on behind me...

I love my little adventures!
The End.

(the photos are froggy er, foggy due to the HIGH humidity we are experiencing right now. It kept fogging up my lens... Oh well)

*TAP * TAP * TAP*

Can you hear me? Is this thing on?
Been thinking of what to do with this ole' blog of mine recently...
One of the main reasons I haven't been blogging has been my house. Yes, my house.(Ok It hasn't TOTALLY been my house, I admit I got a little bored with blogging, sooo I took a break :) You see, we have been working on our remodeling project and in the last several months its kinda fallen down around my ears(so to speak) So to keep me motivated in the blogging department I am thinking of doing a more structured week on here, with post through-out out the week titled, Think about it Sunday, Adventures, Corners of my home, Wordless Wednesday and FUD(food) Friday... That's all I have come up with so far! Too much? Now I know these are not original ideas, I have seen allot of people do *wordless Wednesday*(just pictures) on their blogs and I think its a cute idea! I will be busy this weekend but I will dive in first thing Sunday!

Create a Beautiful day!

What did I just do?(Oh and Happy Fathers Day!)

Well, Happy Fathers day everyone... After taking the hubby out for lunch after church we made a quick stop at the local Wal-Mart to grab a couple of things. As we were leaving the parking lot Adam spotted a car that had pulled up and let out a box of puppies on the grass... Adam thought they looked like they might be beagles (he has a love for beagles that is unexplainable :) I swung around and went up to the owner and asked what kind they were? He said they were a Beagle-Dachshund mix.... I have talked of wanting a Dachshund and Adam LOVES the beagle so we knew we wanted one.... I immediately picked up a little brown and white spotted one that caught my eye and Adam picked up a brown one, we both looked at each other, I think I was the first one to break the silence with "do you think we should take TWO"?.... So their you have the story of how we now have
Milo and Dunkel...

Pictures just can't capture the cuteness!

Dunkel has already assigned himself the chew-er-up-er of everything that will fit in his mouth....

Milo is the 'chill' one and has not let the fact that he has a new home interrupt his sleeping pattern :)

Here they are sleeping on my lap while I post photos on Facebook...

Then I layed them on the bed after my legs fell asleep.

I had a *tiny* melt-down this evening... Like, did I really just on a whim pick up two dogs in a Wal-Mart parking lot???
Ok, let me explain I was planning on getting the hubby a beagle for his birthday this year... So it did seem kinda fitting that we happened to find these babies on Fathers Day and we got to pick them out together :)and what are the odds that they would be a beagle-dachshund mix?
Oh, and they were born on Mothers day *smile*
Hope your Fathers day was good too....

Let Them Be little

Last night our Homeschool group had there end of the School year program. B's class was The Cat in the Hat Comes Back. They read Dr. Seuss books learned about rhyming and did all kinds of fun stuff. My son thoroughly enjoyed it. On the last day they were told they could dress up as a character from one of the books. B picked "THING 1" from the book "The Cat In The Hat"! If you are not familiar with them here is a picture

Here is his costume :)

Since I didn't feel like Dying his hair blue(and I threw it together too late to get a blue wig) I made a mask :)

At the program, they had the Kindergarten class came up on stage while they had a slide show. One of the first pictures to come up was one of B :)

Ad you can see, he was not the only THING 1!! Their was also a THING 2!

As they walked off the stage B was the only one to stop and give his teacher a hug. He was to fast and my re-flexes to slow to get a picture of it. It was sweet, and TOTALLY something he would do. He loves everyone.
While they played the slide show the song Let Them Be Little Played. To say I didn't cry would be a lie. Here is the song. So why don't you listen to it while I go finish off the box of tissues...
