A thought for today...
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our Light, not our Darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you NOT to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won't feel unsure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone. As we let our own Light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. ~ Marianne Williamson

Roadwork
About three weeks ago a culvert under the black top that we live off of, caved in. While it is being replaced, one of the ways around(if you don't mind the dust or mud) Is the gravel roads. The long way around is the black tops, but that takes awhile!
Of course we have talked quite a bit about the closed road, making our son take a special interest in it. He loves to tell people about our "broken road":). Recently it has started affecting his play... This morning he was playing with his train set. He called me over to see... I couldn't help but laugh...
Notice the tracks...
Of course he set up the proper road block to warn the trains about the closed tracks!
and he didn't forget the Stop sign and cones!
Our road will more than likely be back open soon(HOPEFULLY) and all will return to normal. A couple of days ago they backed the new culvert in...
So it shouldn't be too long now... Before I can FINALLY wash the dust off my car!

Would You?
I have heard tales that children raised on farms grow up swimming in the ponds that are usually found on farmland. I however, never got to experience this simple pleasure due to the fact that my farmer father pretty much forbid it, saying it was too dangerous.
It doesn't look very "dangerous" to me!
Lets take a closer look...
This is a snapping turtle found not a few feet from our pond. It was actually moving right along in the direction of our house this evening when hubby spotted it.
In the research I did they "claimed" that Snapping Turtles are quite harmless and will only attack when "provoked". But I tend to go with first impressions and the fact that they are called "snapping" Turtles says it all...
My father had heard stories of people losing toes to snapping turtle's while swimming in pond's, and I think the stories pretty much convinced my Dad that it wasn't worth the risk. Thanks Dad! I am very proud of the fact that I have made it to adult-hood with all my toes!
So let me ask...Would You Swim in a pond with these things swimming beneath you? And if you have(or still do)... Do you have all your toes? (Come on...I HAD to ask!)
As for me. I will stick to swimming in nice clean pools where I can see the bottom and what's beneath me. But that's just me...

We Bleed Orange...
No, I do not mean that we bleed Orange "literally"! It Is very, VERY figurative! And "figuratively speaking" we do not bleed just "any" color Orange. Not a light color orange, or a neon orange but the lovely Allis- Chalmers Orange! :)
Now I must point out, that all of these tractors do not belong to my "slightly obsessed with all-things-Allis-Chalmers-Husband". The two smaller tractors are hubby's Dad's. The bigger two are hubby's. I'm not quite sure who started this obsession but I have plans to find out, and nip It in the bud...
OK, maybe I don't have plans...
I am just having a bit of fun at my hubby's expense, who, when I asked him if I could post these photos on my blog said "Why? So you can make up some "smart-aleck-post" about them?".
Who ME?
(maybe he know's me better than I thought)
LOVE YOU BABE!!!MWahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Happy April Fools day!
We're fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance. ~Japanese Proverb
You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time. ~Abraham Lincoln
A man always blames the woman who fools him. In the same way he blames the door he walks into in the dark. ~Henry Louis Mencken
One thing kids like is to be tricked. For instance, I was going to take my little nephew to Disneyland, but instead I drove him to an old burned-out warehouse. "Oh, no," I said. "Disneyland burned down." He cried and cried, but I think that deep down, he thought it was a pretty good joke. I started to drive over to the real Disneyland, but it was getting pretty late. ~Jack Handey
Real friends are those who, when you feel you've made a fool of yourself, don't feel you've done a permanent job. ~Author Unknown
Now go out and BE NICE today people! Remember... WWJD? :)
