Life is a song
Life is a song ... sing it.
Life is a game ... play it.
Life is a challenge ... meet it.
Life is a dream ... realize it.
Life is a sacrifice ... offer it.
Life is love ... enjoy it.
~ Sai Baba ~
If you can walk, you can dance.
If you can talk, you can sing.

2011~ Live Your Dreams
It's 2011 people!!! Can you believe it? Me either!
You know how everyone is suppose to make those New-Years Resalutions lists? I Guess I will share with you mine. Its a little different then any I have ever done in the past, but life is about growing...
I will Be Spontaneous
I will Laugh more
I will not be afraid to Live the life that I want
I will Make a list EVERY-SINGLE-DAY of the things I'm thankful for
I will Live In the moment
I will Listen more
I will not be afraid to be vulnerable
I will have more compassion
I will dance more
I will dream more
I will be true to myself
Oh yeah, and then theirs that patience thing...I will work on that :)
Whats on your list?
"Changing the world begins
with the very personal process of changing yourself,
the only place you can begin is where you are,
and the only time you can begin is always now." ~ Gary Zukav ~
"The world is nothing but my perception of it.
I see only through myself.
I hear only through the filter of my story" ~ Byron Katie ~
"A life without dreams is like a garden without flowers." ~ Author Unknown ~
"People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are.
I don't believe in circumstances.
The people who get on in this world
are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want.
And if they cant, make them." ~ George Bernard Shaw ~
"You have to leave the city of your comfort
and go into the wilderness of your intuition.
What you'll discover will be wonderful.
What you'll discover is yourself." ~ Alan Alda ~
"What is right for one soul may not be right for another.
It may mean having to stand on your own
and do something strange in the eyes of others.
But do not be daunted,
do whatever it is because you know within it is right for you" ~ Eileen Caddy ~

Winter
It has officially gotten VERY cold in the last 24 hours. But I am not complaining! The house Is toasty warm, thanks to our new wood stove.
It is getting late in the evening now. The children are *suppose* to be asleep(and usually are at this point)But late naps have kept them awake, and their very active minds have kept them thinking up every imaginable reason why they need something("I need another drink, Mommy"...which is ALWAYS proceeded by "MOM!! I need to go potty"!!!)While waiting for them to go to sleep I decided to snap a few pictures of our Christmas tree and new wood stove. Enjoy!...and Goodnight!

INTRODUCING...
LUCY...
An almost three year old Basset Hound... We got her in the hopes that she would help calm down our two-year old Beagle. You see, he is basically a lunatic and Bassets our known for there calm even temperament's, so we figured what could go wrong!(Actually, I wanted to get a Great Dane in hopes that it would EAT the Beagle for Breakfast, but hubby didn't go for that idea...)
And Its working! They get along great! Though she herself seems to have a few little quirks...For instance, she seems to prefer women. When ever I go outside she comes scampering up to me...
With her tongue hanging out...because, OK, I MIGHT have a treat for her :)(maybe THAT's why she like me more? ;) and it doesn't look like she is will be working out to be a guard dog, as she quickly disappears whenever someone new shows up.(she goes and hides behind the barn until they are gone.)
She is a beautiful dog and is fitting in well around here...
Today I caught her sleeping, using the sidewalk as a pillow(Somehow she made it look comfy!)
And I should mention that a certain little girl has taken a very special interest in Lucy and makes it her priority everyday to check on, and make sure Lucy is OK.
Her love of animals Is so sweet....
And just so Im completly honest with you this persons blog had NOTHING to do with me wanting a Basset Hound!(wink, wink)

A Break...
Yes, I have taken a little 'siesta' from blogging this Summer. But that break is over now...
Yes, I am big enough to admit it, during said break I was resting... and It looked something like this...

Im lying...I can't sleep on my back...anyone who knows me, knows I sleep curled up in the fetal position like Im still in the womb!
So, stay tuned for pictures and stories of all the adventures that we went on this Summer!
